July 2017 Annual Fun Sports Event vs the Cambridge Rutherford Club

Thu, Jul 20th 2017 at 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Daft sports and BBQ. Organiser Colin Brown. Costs £12 each.

We had great fun at our annual contest against our sister club - Cambridge Rutherford including the usual ample and well arranged BBQ.

Each year we compete for our historical trophy - The Cambridge Ashes.

Can we win them back ? !

This year we competed in Clock Croquet, Plantpot Golf and Tennis Balls in the Barrel.

While the gallant Rutherford team won the Tennis, we succeeded in the Croquet and Golf - SUCCESS !  Well done team !  President Jan graciously accepted the trophy on our behalf and will take great care of it until NEXT YEAR !

We met at the Clare College Sports Ground, Bentley Road off Trumpington Road 6pm.

It is always advisable to wear flat shoes and easy-to-move-in clothes plus a warm coat for later in the evening.

After our mild exertions we again enjoyed a tasty and varied freshly cooked BarBQ - with Bar on tap !

Chairs and tables were available and the Pavilion was open if we had needed it.
