Croydon Classic Car Show 2017 Success

Report on our major fundraising event of the year

Shelterbox montage

Despite an indifferent weather forecast for the day the 2017 Classic Car Show was a good success. Attendance wasn't quite as high as it has been sometimes but those who came along thoroughly enjoyed themselves on what turned out to be a lovely sunny day.

We had made some changes to the site  layout and the car related processes which produced safe and timely parades, exceptionally well stewarded by the ATC Shirley Squadron and Rotarians from Purley Club.

This year the the stalls extended round two sides of the filed and were topped off by the Shelter Box tent which the ATC team help put up. - neatly illustration the kind of good causes supported by our Trust Fund.

As ever the live music from Atlantis gave the event that important extra sparkle.

For some reason the wet sponge wasn't so popular this year but the ducks got hooked and the sticks picked in their corner by the Bar tent and there were queues at the Barbie nearly all day long.
