Rotary International in Great Britain is made up of over 1,800 clubs and more than 50,000 men and women from all walks of life.
Community champions both at home and abroad we support those who need help. We strive to improve lives and bring about positive change.
Every event, initiative or project run by Rotary, whether local, national, international or online is rooted in the notion of community. This is because we believe society works better when communities work together.
We are a group of like minded individuals from many different cultures and backgrounds. We are men and women who work full-time, part-time or are retired. What we have in common is the desire to make the world a better place for all.
We meet on a regular basis to enjoy friendship and to plan projects that will utilise the skills, expertise and dedication of our members to help improve the lives of others both at home in the community and overseas.
Many of us are also involved with other charities and find Rotary a place for support and fun.
Fundamentaly we help people both at home and overseas. To do this we first need to raise money, for example together with Epsom Rotary we organise the Borough Fun Day which this year will be held on Sunday the 17th of September at Hook Road Arena. We also run annual Christmas collections around the local area and other fun fund raising events throughout the year.
The money raised is then used to support local, national and international charities.
On other occassions we are able to help by giving guidance, expertise and advice or by providing labour for projects such as tidying up gardens for local residents who cannot do the work themselves.
But Ewell Rotary is also about having fun and we run a wide range of activities for members and their guests throughout the year including quizzes, BBQs, theatre trips, weekends away and much more.
The best way to see if Rotary is for you is to meet Rotarians and come along to one of our meetings which have great food and lots of fun and laughter but in the first instance please contact Margaret Martin on either 0772 186 7035 or margaret@mmartin-associates.co.uk
