Trip to Royal Holloway College
Royal Holloway College
On 21st June some 30 members partners and friends visited the Royal Holloway College as guests of Peter O’Keefe’s brother Robert, who is a Vice Principal there. The College was founded by multi millionaire Thomas Holloway and the amazing building was built in the style of a 16th Century French Chateau. We were privileged to have lunch in the Picture Gallery where we had a fascinating talk by the curator, Dr Harriet O’Neill, who told us a great deal about several of the lovely paintings. We could have listened to her all day! We finished the trip with a tour around this fantastic building and also saw the brand new building which is due to be opened in October at a cost of £57m! Many thanks are due to Peter for arranging the visit and of course to his brother for allowing us to be there.
