Our speaker is Leonie Cooper. An elected member of the London Assembly. Leonie will address Club members on the environment.

Ms Cooper was originally due to speak to the Club in August, but unfortunately due to personal circumstances was unable to attend. She has now kindly contacted us and offered to visit us on this date.

Ms Cooper is an elected member of the London Assembly and among her many interests is the enviroment.

She is a member of the Environment Committee examines all aspects of the capital’s environment by reviewing the Mayor’s strategies on air quality, water, waste, climate change and energy. 

The committee looks at what additional measures could be taken to help improve the quality of life for Londoners and investigates topics ranging from airport expansion and burst water mains, to noise from the Night Tube and the environmental impacts of plastic water bottles.
