Club Twinning Visit to Euskirchen Germany

PLANNED VISIT PROGRAMME

After pickup from the airport we will transfer to the individual hosts.

In evening we will have dinner together with the other club members in a nice restaurant named “Kurhaus Bad Münstereifel” located close to Euskirchen. This will also be the official club meeting.

On Saturday morning we will visit Cologne and take a guided tour of the cathedral and its treasure chambers.

After that it is time for lunch at a nice restaurant in the “Rheinauhafen” after which we have organized a visit to the chocolate museum.

Next it is only a short walk to a typical Cologne brewery named Malzmühle where a famous “Kölsch” (local  beer) is made.  Here we will also have dinner.

Sunday morning we will have breakfast together at the Café –Restaurant Alter Markt in the center of Euskirchen.

SUMMARY

Our Club has been over to Euskirchen in Germany on many occasions, including a trip to Berlin as a change and we always had a wonderful time meeting other Rotarians, seeing the town and environment and generally being entertained and having a fabulous time.

Many of our club have been and come back with glowing reports of a wonderful time and new friendships made many of which have become well established over the years.

Rotarians may travel alone or with their respective partner or wife/husband as are both invited.

Previous visits have been amazing and new Rotarians especially will enjoy the opportunity to meet other Rotarians in another country and experience their friendly hospitality.

Speaking German should not be a barrier to going as many speak good English.  Dress is normally smart casual.

Please let us know asap if you are interested in making a visit to our twin club in Euskirchen Germany next June 2018 for a long weekend. In order to get good deals on transport please let me know numbers asap.

We anticipate travelling out on Friday and returning Sunday.  Some may wish to fly, others to go by car and take a channel crossing and maybe make an extended visit by travelling and staying elsewhere either en route or visiting France or Germany etc.
