Rogart RotaKids launch for 2017
As the autumn leaves begin to colour and those who live in Highland Glens turn their minds to the winter tasks ahead the tiny village primary school in Rogart seemed to exude a spring like pose as the whole school confirmed the setting up of a new Rotakids club which welcomed every child from 5 years old to 11 years into the Rotary Movement. Rotakids are now up and running all over the East Sutherland area, with clubs in Brora, Dornoch, Lairg and Rogart and there are more to come. Teachers find it a huge support in helping their students understand their communities and the need to help and appreciate others. The skills developed in running their own club and events for others build confidence, improve communication skills and generate the enthusiasm that belonging to an active organisation brings.
