Club sends Water-Survival box to Freetown, Sierra Leone.

The recent mud-slide near Freetown, Sierra Leone, engulfed a community: the death toll is probably about 600 people, mostly poor families who were living in shacks. In addition, many survivors are left homeless and without belongings. The Government are limited in their capacity to manage the recovery therefore Cholera is an immediate risk and clean water and shelter are immediate essentials.

The Water-Survival box provided by WorldWaterWorks Limited is a rigid plastic box which has a capacity of 54 litres and contains a water purification kit sufficient for a family of four for about four months, and a set of essential survival items.

The web site for WorldWaterWorks is http://www.watersurvivalbox.org/index.html
