The District Golf Championship was held at Bruntsfield Links Golfing
Society, Edinburgh on Tuesday 12th September 2017, hosted by the Rotary
Club of Edinburgh.
Congratulations go the the Rotary Club of Corstorphine who were
represented by Forbes Howie, Alick Houston, and David Gill on winning
the team trophy.
Runners up were the team from the Rotary Club of Dalbeattie consisting of Ian Lumsden, David Henderson and Hamish Biggar.
The Individual trophy was presented to Alick Houston from the
Corstorphine Club who won the trophy by virtue of a count back on the
last six holes from Ian Lumsden from the Dalbeattie Club.

We have organised Dragon Boats Festivals on River Nith, Dumfries in partnership with Dumfries Multi Cultural Society. All proceeds were provided to local good causes.

moreThe Rotary Club of Dumfries Devorgilla have organised a free public fireworks display for Dumfries in partnership with the People’s Project on the Mill Green. We received a bronze medal from Cash for Kids for donations raised in 2017!
moreAs part of out endeavours to keep Dumfries the "Queen of the South" we regularly clean bus shelters in the town centre
moreWe have previously worked in partnership with Dalbeattie Community Initiative for a cycling sportive event on three routes around Dumfries and Galloway including a 100mile route! The event has raised £1600 for local charities.
moreAn amazing £84,000 has been raised for local health causes over 9 successful years of the Run4Health. A partnership project with the NHS and Dumfries and Galloway Council as a truly family fun event.
more12 hour Cyclathon Challenge to cycle the distance from Tesco Dumfries to Tesco Stranraer and back. Our cyclists managed a distance of 267.2 miles and an amazing £2,069.09 was raised for Prostate Buddies D&G and Prostate Scotland.
