Club Members who provided stewarding for the Moonlight Walk organised by Hospice at Home, Carlisle and North Lakeland. Saturday 16 September 2017 received the following letter of thanks from Hospice at Home which was much appreciated.

"Thank you so much for your wonderful support at the Moonlight Walk on Saturday. We are so appreciative of all of your help with stewarding, looking after the refreshment stall and walking the route and as I said during the briefing we couldn’t do this event without you all. I also greatly appreciated your advice and expertise at our meeting on Thursday and hope the amendments ensured a safer route for all.

Please could I kindly ask you to forward a big THANK YOU to everyone who came along from your organisations? My colleague Julie, who led the walk, relayed how lovely it was to be met on route by such friendly stewards who gave such good cheers and encouragement. Not only did you keep everyone on the right route but you kept spirits up and ensured a fun event for all! Thank you!

We were really pleased with the evening and the overall turnout. Over 150 people contributed to the evening through participation, volunteering and stewarding which is a great community effort. We are estimating that £4,000 will be raised from this event which is a fantastic contribution to our fundraising efforts.

A press release has been sent to the Herald and Cumberland News and your generous support has been included in the article. Fingers crossed we get some great coverage! Lots of photos have been added to Facebook, please take a look, you don’t need to be a member of Facebook to view them: https://www.facebook.com/pg/HospiceatHomeCarlisleandNorthLakeland/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10154716563087687

A favourite part of my job is that I get to work with such lovely people and it has been great to work with you all on this event.  Thank you very much indeed."
