Club Meeting at SCCC

Mon, Oct 23rd 2017 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Speaker: Richard Bennett, Breaking Ground Heritage

37 Members and one guest heard ex royal marine Dickie Bennett talk about his work with Breaking Ground Heritage BGH. BGH has been set up to help facilitate a recovery pathway for service personnel and veterans suffering physical or mental injuries using archaeology and other heritage projects. Dickie explained that BGH can also provide a spring board for anyone in the service community interested in the heritage sector as a potential new career pathway.

Club matters -
Peter Kirby is recovering well and hopes to be back at work within a month.

The skittles team were victorious over Bridgwater, winning by a hand and a half.

Alison Brown gave an enthusiastic report on the recent District Conference and encouraged more members to consider attending next year.

Youth speaks will be on 16th January 2018.

Next year's 3 club meeting at Redon will be the weekend of 18th - 20th May 2018. Contact Kathryn to book a place.

The Ball Draw was won by Steve Jenkins (not present so a roll over).
