“What’s up with British politics? A view from Faversham and Mid Kent’s MP”

Helen Whately

Last year the country surprised the establishment and voted for Brexit. This year, young people got involved in politics and voted (mostly) for socialism. Last year people were talking about how to hold Government to account in the absence of a proper opposition, this year, the question is how Government will get legislation through Parliament at all. Helen Whately will give her perspective on what’s going on and what it means for Britain, as well as some insights into what it’s like being an MP in these turbulent times.
