Purple for Polio 2017-2018 Town Centre
How is Danetre Rotary helping to defeat Polio this year?
Thanks to everyone
….. who turned up this morning and helped with the above.
Daventry “Danetre” Rotary Club; together with the additional ‘helping hands’ of Cllr. Lynne Taylor (Mayor, Daventry Town Council), Cllr. Glenda Simmonds (ex-Mayor), Deborah Jewell (Town Clerk) and a few volunteers from the Daventry Allotments Association
- Planted approximately 3250 crocus corms in the record time of just 1 hour 15 minutes!
Hopefully they will make an attractive display for all to see as they enter the Town, both next spring and for many years to come.
We have already arranged for another ‘photo call’ with the above participants, to coincide with the spring flowering of our crocus corms and out 2018 Purple4Polio “Tea Party”.
Finally, a further reminder of the advance date for your diaries;
- Purple4Polio – “Tea Party” 2018
- Provisional Date: 4.00 pm Thursday 8th March 2018
- At the Mercure Hotel, Daventry.
