Members,
The Club , through the International committee, have purchased 10, 000 crocus bulbs under the Purple4Polio campaign , to raise awareness of Rotary's efforts to eradicate Polio in the world. The first 5000 bulbs are to be planted in Preston Gardens near the Conservative Club car-park..This will be done by Torbay Council , arranged by John Adlard, assisted by our members. This will take place on Friday November 10th at 10 am onwards. We will also have 12 pupils from Oldway School who are"eco-warriors", coming to help us..Please can you come and support this event. You will need suitable clothing for the weather ,and wellies or old shoes. Please also put a spade/trowel(s) in your car if case they are needed.Maybe afterwards we could go for a sandwich in the Old Manor , round the corner. There will be a round Robin next Tuesday , but if you are able to come and are not at that meeting let me know, please. The other 5000 bulbs are to be planted at Greenway National Trust gardens in late November, Children from Galmpton Primary School are joining us , and we are waiting for a suitable date from the School.Thank you for your support.Roger T
