Maundy Thursday:

            Pippa very kindly circulated a set of Maundy money presented to her             father by the Queen.      In a ceremony that dates back to the time of        Edward I in the 13th century, the Queen presents the money to a selected   group whose number is equivalent to her age.

Elaine Young:

            Great news about Elaine who is back home and hopes to be at the meeting    next week.

 Erik:

            The Club send condolences to Erik of Apeldoorn whose brother, Richard,      has passed away last Thursday.

Friday, March 23rd - Walk4Water:

            Walk4Water was a great success and Andrew B. thanked everyone who        helped.

Friday, March 23rd - Lunch after Walk4Water:

            The lunch after Walk4Water was also a great success and many thanks to     Hilary for organising it .

Friday, April 6th – Club Quiz Evening:

This event is cancelled due to a double booking at the Golf Club.

Saturday, April 14th – Car Parking and Stroke Awareness

Godrey would welcome more help with car parking on April 14th as would Sarah who is organising Stroke Awareness.

Saturday, April 21st – TWAM Collection:

Congratulations to Andrew and Jean who have cleared seven houses of tools and other items and hope to fill a TWAM van and empty their garage.   Please help with the collection on April 21st if you can.

Sunday, May 6th - Olde English Cream and Strawberry Tea:

            Ron and Irene are very kindly organising an Olde English Cream and Strawberry Tea at their ‘haunted’ home at 4 Richmond Road,        Whitstable, CT5 3HS between 2.00 and 6.00 pm on Sunday, May 6th – not          May 13th as originally announced. 

Weekend of June 8th to 10th – Visit to Apeldoorn:

            Andrew B. needs numbers who are going very soon.   If you cannot go           please indicate clearly on the form with a “X” or a “NO”.

Sunday, July 15th – Summer Beach BBQ:

            The Samba Band will be collecting for charity on Sunday, July 15th.    They     will be going from Hampton to Whitstable with a stop for a beach BBQ       along the way.     They would welcome help from anyone who can spare         some time to collect donations.

Saturday, August 11th - Whitstable Harbour Day:

Two spaces have been booked and at the next meeting of the Board it will be necessary to decide what events to organise on the day.   Suggestions would be very welcome.     This should be a really good day but volunteers are needed for the stalls.

December  7th or 8th – Christmas Dinner:

            Sue who is already planning the Christmas Dinner suggested December         7th or 8th as possible dates and the Turner Hotel as a possible venue.   Both   suggestions were agreed and Sue will make the booking.
