ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
1) Report from Board on activities for 2017/18:
Club Overview – President – Robert Sissons
Robert gave a brief overview of the what was a very successful year for the Club.
Membership – President Elect – Pat MacFarlane
During the year Club had lost Georgina who transferred to RC Canterbury Forest of Blean but gained John G. who rejoined from RC Hythe. The Club also welcomed Dave C. and Ron as new members.
2) Reports on activities by each Committee for events in 2017/18:
The following reports had been circulated and were taken as read:

3) Presentation of YTD Accounts for 2017/18:
Treasurer – David Mann
The accounts had been circulated and David M. gave a summary. During the year the Club made donations in excess of £23,000 which was more or less in line with the previous year. The Club Charity Account stands at £1,600 and the Club Account at £37.
4) Proposal on Club Fees and Budget for 2018/19:
Treasurer – David Mann
David M. proposed to the meeting that Club fees remain unchanged for the forthcoming year. His proposal was seconded by Andrew B. and agreed by the meeting. The budget for 2018/9 had been circulated and was approved. David M. also proposed that the Club continue to donated the proceeds of Gift Aid to Foundation and this was also approved.
5) Appointment of person, or persons, to examine clubs accounts:
Treasurer – David Mann
The previous independent examiner of the Club accounts has retired and David M. proposed that Katie Aldridge, who is a qualified accountant and daughter of Robert S., be appointed to examine the Club accounts. This proposal was seconded by David K. and approved by the meeting.
6) Date of 2018/19 Assembly meeting (Handover) – 5th July 2018
The date of the Club Assembly (Handover) Meeting will be an evening meeting on Thursday, July 5th at 7.00 for 7.30 pm at the Golf Club.
7) Confirmation of elected Board Members for 2018/19.
The following members were confirmed as elected Board Members for 2018/9:

The date of the SGM was confirmed as 22nd November 2018.

The date of the next Annual General Meeting was confirmed as 23rd May 2019.

There being no other business Robert S. declared the AGM closed.
REGULAR MEETING OF THE CLUB
Sunday, May 20th – Car Parking at Whitstable:
A few more volunteers to help with Car Parking on May 20thand everyone is welcome to come along to help especially between noon and 2.00 pm.
Thursday, May 24th – Meeting will be at Table Table:
Everyone is reminded that the next meeting on May 24th will not be held at the Golf Club. The meeting will be held at Herne Bay Table Table, Blacksole Farm, Margate Road, Herne Bay, CT6 6LA at 7.00 for 7.30 am. Take the Beltinge turn off the Thanet Way and Table Table is behind the Harvester . This will be a normal meeting of the Club and apologies should be sent to Godfrey as usual. The cooked breakfast will cost £9.00 per person and the light breakfast £7.00. All drinks which include fruit juices and smoothies, but no alcohol, are unlimited.
Tuesday, July 3rd – Trip on the Greta:
There is a form in the folder to sign up. The trip will cost £44.20 per person and could everyone who will be taking the trip please let David M. have a deposit of £20.00 as soon as possible or pay it directly into the Club account.
Wednesday, July 25th – Bat and Trap Challenge Evening:
A Bat and Trap e Evening has been arranged for Wednesday, July 25th when the Club will challenge RC Whitstable and RC Herne Bay. The evening will be at the Huntsman and Horn, Margate Road, Broomfield, Herne Bay, CT6 7AF.
December 7th – Christmas Dinner at the Crescent Turner Hotel:
Could everyone who is going to the Christmas Dinner on December 7th please let David M. have a deposit of £10.00 as soon as possible or pay it directly into the Club account.
December 27th – Breakfast after Christmas:
For the past few years it has become a Club tradition to meet for breakfast on the Thursday after Christmas when the Golf Club is closed. This year the venue will be changed to the Lounge in Tankerton and details will be circulated.
Raffle:
Ron won a bottle of wine.
Master of Alms:
Nick pauperised most of the Club especially your humble amanuensis who is having to consider equity release.
