January Meeting

At our January meeting, on Inner Wheel Day,  we heard a lively speech by David Wood along the lines of "This is my Life"!

As a child he was often asked whether he was going to be a Headmaster like his father, but to confound everyone's expectations he left school without a single O level!

Thereafter followed a great variety of jobs including construction, the army, estate agency... but wherever he was, he found the most interesting aspect was the people he met - and their problems.

Eventually he got involved with health and fitness and has ended up as a personal trainer with a strong accent on being a life coach. He is now in effect Headmaster of his own studio and loves it, training others for the team. He advised us that "Life is a buffet meal - so go and make your choices."

During question time he revealed his fears for the health of the following generations, who may well not equal the longevity of ours...His mother President Liz is a good example of continued active involvement in life's buffet!
