Camperdown Burns Supper
With an evening of music, food and song the Rotary Club of Claverhouse "Camperdown Burns Supper" will be held on Friday 26 January 2018 at 7.00 for 7.30pm.
Dear Rotarians and Friends of Rotary
As memories of turkey and tinsel rapidly fade thoughts turn to haggis and neeps and the annual celebration of the life and times of our National Bard Robert Burns.
With an evening of music, food and song the Rotary Club of Claverhouse "Camperdown Burns Supper" will be held in the Victoria Suite of the Queens Hotel, Nethergate, Dundee on Friday 26 January 2018 at 7.00 for 7.30pm. All members, friends and guests - lads and lassies - are most welcome.
The cost is unchanged at £25.00 per person to include a 5-course meal, musical entertainment and an impressive array of speakers including an Address to the Haggis by David Hamilton, Tam O'Shanter by Bill Maddox, the Immortal Memory by Sheriff Lindsay Foulis, Holy Willies Prayer by Donald McKerron, all rounded off with a Toast to the Lassies by Past-President Ivor Morton and a no doubt suitably worded Reply from Mary Crighton.
An attendance board is being circulated to members at club meetings. We would also be delighted to welcome to the supper our new Friends of Rotary and those wishing to attend are asked to contact me direct with names/numbers (e-mail address email@example.com or 'phone 01382 730550). This also applies to members who may not be at club for the next couple of weeks. Early replies would be appreciated.
Please see the attached leaflet (courtesy of Brian Cairns) for confirmation of these details. Raffle prizes donated prior to or on the night would also be most appreciated.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Yours in Rotary
