The Stroud Valleys and its surrounding area supports an exceptionally wide range of creative talent. Nailsworth Rotary Club recognises this and later this year will be celebrating it by organising an Exhibition and Sale of original artwork, donated by known and up-and-coming artists from the art community.

There will be a free exhibition of the artwork in Stroud Subscription Rooms on Friday 24 August and Saturday 25 August 2018, and the art will be sold during the afternoon of 25th.

The public will be invited to view the exhibition and try to recognise their favourite artists, as artwork will only be signed on the back. Once the sale starts, all works will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event builds on the very successful Spot The Artist Charity Art Sale which has been run by the Rotary Club of St Ives for several years.

Over the past ten years, Nailsworth Rotary Club has raised over £145,000 for local, national and internatoinal charities. Once again all of the net proceeds from the art sold at this event will be given to charitable causes – 50% will be used to support the Stroud art community and 50% will go to Rotary charities.

Follow us on facebook or watch this space for more details and for a gallery of the work which will be available to buy.
