Our Work in the Local Community

For over 100 years one of the object of Rotary has been to apply the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life to our daily activities.


Our current and recently completed community service projects include:

 

Supporting the work of the Scotswood Narural Community Garden, in their work with young people. 

Arranging for the planting of trees in Jesmond Dene and Scotswood Natural Community Garden to assist in enhancing the environment

Polio Eradication

more The eradication of polio is one of Rotary's most significant efforts. We have helped immunise more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. We have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide and we won't stop until we end the disease
