How do I join Rotary?

We endeavour to enjoy ourselves at our meetings.

HOW TO JOIN AS A MEMBER OF OUR CLUB

We invite you to become a member of Rotary International by joining the Rotary Club of Jordans and District which meets mainly at the Beaconsfield Golf Club on second and fourth  Monday evenings at 8.00pm. On the third Monday evening we meet usually at the Woodland Centre but please check our front page to get uptodate information. Membership is open to men and women who have experience in business or a profession.

If you already know a member of our club, then please ask them to invite you to be  their guest at several of our meetings.  Alternatively call one of the contacts below and they will be very pleased to invite you to be their guest.

There will be no obligation on your part to join us.  The purpose is for you to get an idea of what we are about and to meet other like-minded people, while experiencing Rotary fellowship at Club level.

If after attending you would like to continue, your Proposer will obtain from the Club Secretary a simple Application Form for you to complete to become a prospective member.  You will be invited to attend an Information Meeting with your Proposer and two other members.  The formal agenda in an informal setting will give you all the information necessary to help you make your decision including the monthly membership fee, what is expected of a member, if you wish to continue your application and which committee you would like to join.

The election process continues with acceptance by all Members and our Club Council.  Typically from then you will become a member within 2/3 weeks.

Rotary international (RI) is the world's largest humanitarian service organisation with some 1.2 million members operating in more than 160 countries through 30,000 clubs.  In Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I) there are about 55,000 members in 1,840 Clubs.

Our membership committee look forward to welcoming you to Rotary.
