The Cake Bake

Cakes for Halcon Project Open Day

The Great Cake Bake

A request for cakes to be available at the launch of the Link Centre Consultation day, was met by many ladies from T.V. Inner Wheel.

We received a letter of thanks and appreciation and I enclose some extracts courtesy of John Binns and the photos are courtesy of  David Janes.  Thank you gentlemen.

John said that the baking was the 'centre piece of the food put together for the residents at all three venues.' Some was left over and shared with the Volunteers while the remainder was used at the Children's brunch event on Monday.

'However, the freezing wind and almost continuous rain took their toll and the streets were virtually devoid of people.'

So, thank you ladies, your baking was very much appreciated.

Perhaps next time we could all try to put in an appearance too? I include myself! I am sure we all wish them, Good Luck with the Lottery funding bid to support this project.
