It is just over 300 years since his birth and yet people still refer to the influence that 'Capability' Brown has had on the British landscape. This was an era before the advent of telecommunications and air travel, yet his clients extended from Northumberland to the Isle of Wight and he was able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Tony Hadfield will provide an overview of Brown's life, what features of his work distinguish his projects, and provide an answer to the question as to why he was so successful.
