Rotary Foundation Seminar - Writtle College

Sat, Apr 14th 2018 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The event is open to all club chairs of Foundation and International committees, along with any other Rotarians who would like to learn more about Rotary’s own charity.

With the end of Polio in sight, it has been agreed that it would be a good time to hold a Rotary Foundation Seminar/Workshop.  We are delighted to have been able to secure a key-note speaker from Rotary International, Michael Hodge, who will enlighten us about our own charity.  Few members, even members of a club’s Foundation committee, really understand what Foundation is and does.  For example. how many of your Club’s members know that The Rotary Foundation has, for the last few years, been judged by Charity Navigator to be in the top 1% of all charities throughout the world with a perfect 100% score when judged on financial health, accountability and transparency.

Learn how a grant from Foundation can help a project, locally or overseas, learn how to complete a successful grant application, and understand the various ways of supporting our own charity both individually and as a club.

IMPORTANT – Attendance at the seminar by at least one member of your club is required to ensure your club qualifies under the Grant Management System, and you are then eligible to sign the Memorandum of Understanding – a requirement of every Rotary Club.

Please could you let Robert Macaulay have the names of who will be attending from your Club as soon as possible, but by the 6th April 2018 at the very latest.
