Social Evening and Induction of Two New Members

On 14th March 2018, the Club held a Social Evening which included members and their spouses or partners, friends, and two new recruits to Rotary.

There over twenty people gathered in the cosy lounge at 43 Babsement in the Bbar. A splendid selection of finger buffet kept guests nourished throughout the evening.

Mr Mark Kelly an accountant who recently returned to London from a series of overseas postings and Ambassador Julius Peter Moto - the High Commissioner of Uganda - were inducted as Rotarians by President Josephine Ojiambo.

Guests included Lawrence Bloom and eminent thinker and speaker, and Professor Jane Corbett who previously lectured in Oxford and Cambridge.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and Rotarian Anna Croghan handed out leis to all guests who looked resplendent in their garlands.

The evening extended well beyond the planned closure as members remained to  enjoy the fellowship and exchange stories of their past lives.
