Partners Evening

Cost £15 for full members. And £25 for "PAYG full members", Associates, partners and guests.

Our guest speaker is Milena Kavrakova.

Milena will talk about "Growing up in a communist country and learning to play the cello"
Milena will bring her cello to the partners evening and play to us.

Milena is an international cellist, artist, speaker, composer and author of children's stories. Since she first started playing the cello at age 7, she has won numerous music competitions and have performed as a soloist all over the world. Milena has won Academic scholarships to study in the UK and USA and graduated with Master's Degree from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Hope College in the USA.

This year, Milena was one of the judges for the Rotary Music competition; she opened the Fringe at the prominent literary festival in Gladstone Library in Wales; wrote compositions inspired by Northamptonshire folk tunes and performed them at Heritage events and in concerts. Her performance as part of the Towcester Music Festival attracted over 100 people. Milena is in the process of recording her music and will have her first album out in a few months. Milena's upcoming concert is on Saturday 27th October at Towcester Library. It starts at 2:15pm, tickets are £8.50, available from the Library.
