Raising funds whlie enjoying learning about the wife of poet Robert Burns

We welcomed our guest speaker, Professor Kirsteen McCue. Kirsteen is Professor of Scottish Literature and Song Culture and Co-Director of the Centre for Robert Burns Studies at the University of Glasgow, where she’s been on the staff since 2002. She is a graduate of the Universities of Glasgow and Oxford and, before joining the staff of the University, she was General Manager of the then Scottish Music Information Centre (now the Scottish Music Centre in Candleriggs) and a freelance writer and broadcaster with the BBC (BBC Radio 3 and BBC Scotland) and with the Edinburgh International Festival.
