Walking for 'The Upbeats' - 2018

Walking 10 miles to celebrate 10 years of the Charlton Upbeats - 2008 - 2018.

What a fantastic day! We joined scores of others, to walk the 10 miles to 'The Valley' in support of 'Upbeats' as they celebrated this wonderful anniversary. After finally arriving at the ground, we were able to watch the lads in action, as they took on teams from Brighton and Norwich.  Despite the aching limbs, none of us would have missed it for the world!

The Charlton Upbeats is a self-funded programme which supports children and adults with Down's syndrome and has currently more than 170 young people on their books. They not only play in the Kent Adult Disability League but the project also provides them and their families with the opportunity to participate in social events, trips and leisure activities.

Well done Charlton Athletic Community Trust and well done The Upbeats! See you next year!
