Today was a Business Meeting and the minutes of the Board Meeting last week have been circulated.

Appeal from Caroline Mumford re Wheelchair for son:

Caroline Mumford has appealed to the local clubs in an effort to raise £4,000 to pay for an offroad wheelchair for her severely disabled son, Thomas.   Forest of Blean have agreed to contribute £1,000 and RC Herne Bay and RC Whitstable have ringfenced £500 each.     It was proposed to the Club that a contribution of £500 be made to the appeal and this was agreed with one abstention.     The money will be paid direct to the supplier of the wheelchair.

Possible twinning with RC Thimphu:

Andrew B. put to the Club the consensus view that there is little practical benefit to either club to be had from a formal twinning with RC Thimpu and this was agreed.

Scatter Weeks:

Clubs have been encouraged to restart Scatter Weeks.       It has been suggested that a raid be organised on RC Sandwich in March and Ron is looking into it.
