Guests welcomed included speaker Alice Halstead, Linda Halstead, Millie Amesbury, Harvey Leak-Smith, Di Tunnard and Jacob Platts.

Alice (pictured with Holly) spoke about the importance of her medical detection dog Holly in helping to protect her when she was living with a life-threatening condition. There had been occasions when Holly had saved Alice's life.

Di introduced Millie (pictured) and gave details of her achievements before Millie was presented with a Service Above Self award.

Also pictured are Harvey Leak-Smith and Jacob Platts who are to attend the RYLA course.

A working party is to meet this Thursday at 9.30 to remove a wall at the Workhouse Museum. Contact Bill St for detail.

The IW coffee morning is this Saturday at the Meads, South Crescent.

There is an Arnside Planning meeting next Tuesday at 11.15 and a Bike Ride meeting at 11.45.

Tick list is out for Daffodil Delights on April 12th or 19th.

International Committee Quiz Night with pie and pea supper is at Copt Hewick Village Hall on March 16th. Help and raffle prizes invited.

The hope is to re- schedule the Orient Express evening for a date in April.
