A visit to Tony Elias's Garden at Coldharbour House, Redhill, Surrey RH1 4NA

Wed, Aug 15th 2018 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This 1½ acre garden, part of the N.G.S. offers breathtaking views to the South Downs. Originally planted in the 1920’s, it has since been adapted and enhanced.

The National Garden Scheme is an amazing charity that celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

Every year they collect all the monies from garden owners like Tony Elias (3700 of us in the UK) and then distributes it to major nursing and cancer charities such as Macmillan, Marie Curie, Help the Hospices.

They inspect the various gardens throughout the year to make sure the standard is upheld. Last year they distributed £3 million, the year before £2.6 million. Last year Tony raised £1822 for the NGS and the years before a similar number.
