The National Final of Youth Speaks was held in Exmouth on Saturday 12th May, 2018
The Intermediate competition was won by St Andrews’ and St Brides’ School, East Kilbride sponsored by East Kilbride Rotary and the Senior competition was won by St Columba’s’ School, Kilmacolm sponsored by Gryffe Valley Rotary.

Also, in the intermediate team photo is teacher and Katie's mum, Jacqueline Nelson and Louise Dickson.
This is an outstanding achievement for one district to win both national finals and made the long journey that these Scottish schools had worthwhile. Our congratulations go to both schools.
Update - Mark Connolly the main speaker of St Columba's senior team also won the award for the best main speaker. On the back of this he has been asked to speak at the Rotary Nationl Conference next year.
Another update Kathryn Reid of St Columba’s School, Kilmacolm sponsored by Gryffe Valley Rotary has been Highly Commended in the National Final of Intermediate Young Writer. Again congratulations are in order.
