Riding for the Disabled.

Throughout the UK,  Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) provide experiences with horses benefit the lives of over 25,000 disabled children and adults. With fun activities like riding and carriage driving, we provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement – all supported by 18,000 amazing volunteers and qualified coaches at nearly 500 RDA centres all over the UK.

Park Lane Stables, in Teddington is one such centre. We started in 2014 and we currently have some 300 participants and last year ran  over 2,300 sessions. We welcome clients with physical and learning disabilities and autism, and there are no age restrictions. We bring therapy, achievement and fun of horses to as many people as we can.

We can only carry out our life-changing activities thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the dedication of our volunteers and the good nature of our fantastic horses. But we at Park Lane Stables have a waiting list and could do more with the right resources.

Peter Tomlin is one of Park Lane Stables RDA volunteers and will be joined by others who help with the running of the group. He will tell us more about Park Lane Stables RDA.
