There is a desperate need to tackle oral disease, infection and chronic pain throughout the developing world - to enable people to work, attend school and care for families. We teach skills that mean local people are able to function free from pain, and avoid preventable infections and diseases.
Yvonne:Bridge2Aid's dental programmes are working well. We are alleviating much dental pain and suffering and teaching healthcare workers (Clinical Officers) in rural Tanzania to continue the work when we have returned home. There is still much to do, there is little provision for dental treatment in rural Tanzania, I have seen first hand the suffering of the Tanzanian people and they are immensely grateful for our help.
