Rainhill Rotary Foundation Bursary.

Rainhill Rotary has established a new award which will be given to pupils and students who have made significant progress,  achieved through or despite adversity.

Our Club welcomes submissions from individuals, schools or organisation's who recommend candidates who fulfil some or all of the following criteria....

1. To have overcome significant and challenging circumstances including physical problems.
2. To have displayed a dedication to achievement, effort and service despite difficult circumstances.
3. To have persevered with their education, often in difficult or challenging circumstances, or who have made a significant contribution to school and/ or community life.

In essence " ACHIEVED THROUGH, OR IN SPITE OF ADVERSITY "

The award will be either of monetary value or a piece or pieces of equipment.

The recipient will receive a RAINHILL ROTARY FOUNDATION MEDAL, fully engraved with an appropriate citation.

The award is open to all pupils from Primary to 6th Form within our area.

Recommendations may come from individuals, schools or through contact with other youth and community organisation's or representatives.

This is part of our continued commitment to serve, respect and recognise the youth in our community.

RAINHILL ROTARY FOUNDATION BURSARY & MEDAL AWARDS 2018

So far we have awarded two. A pupil from Rainhill High School received equipment and another student received computer equipment.

Rainhill Rotary recognised the significant progress and commitment of both students and are delighted to recognise their efforts.
