CPR
training across the district is going well, and the Heartwize team were
pleased to be with Northampton Becket, West and Nene Valley recently.
I’d
like to follow up on the idea of us developing a Rotary team, lead by
Heartwize, to offer similar training to community groups in
Northampton. Is it possible there are two or three (or more) from each
of your clubs who may wish to form a Northampton team to visit, for
example, U3A, WI, Scouts, schools, etc., etc. to spread the word about
this life-saving activity? If so, we could arrange a ‘train the
trainer’ session for interested Rotarians. People could come along,
with no commitment, to refresh and extend their knowledge, prior to
deciding if they wish to be part of the training team.
Please
remind those who came to the initial, club CPR evening, and let me know
if this idea could have wings, either in your club alone, or across the
Northampton clubs.
