Cheque presentation to The Bumblebee Children's Charity

President Trevor and Rotarian Robin presenting a cheque for £2,600 to the charity.

The Rotary Club of Ipswich Wolsey has traditionally been involved locally and Internationally with a variety of 'hands on' projects. 2017/2018 President Trevor Clarke specifically focused on charities within Ipswich.  Choosing amongst others The BUMBLEBEE CHILDREN'S CHARITY a specialist centre who work with families to support babies and young children with physical difficulties.  The Charity is based just outside Ipswich between the villages of Sproughton and Burstall, and receives no statutory funding  relying totally on voluntary contributions, with every penny donated going directly to fund the specialist work, there are no paid administrative staff, fundraisers or executives.

As a result of the club Easter Egg Raffle, which involved partnering 48 local pubs and businesses with each raffling an Easter Egg, a collection at Tesco Copdock, and a Christmas Advent calendar, the amazing sum of £2,600.00 was raised for the charity.  Our thanks go to everyone who supported these projects.
