Plans for 2018 - 2019

For 2018-19 our Committee propose to :-

• Continue to maintain the Rotary Garden at Whitchurch Library

• Maintain the two Rotary planters in Whitchurch Village

• Continue to plant and maintain the quadrangle garden at Bryn Celyn school

• Continue to support Bryn Celyn and Tongwynlais Primary schools

• Maintain the Rotary planter in Tongwynlais Village

• Purchase and present Dictionaries4Life and Encyclopedias to pupils at Tongwynlais, Bryn Celyn and the Court schools

• Assist with reading at both Grangetown and Bryn Celyn Primary schools

• Organise bucket collections during the year at suitable venues (with musical accompaniment and carol singing in December)

• Continue Club support for the Paradise Run, the Huggard Centre and Northlands Life House (Salvation Army) with monthly donations of food, clothing and other essentials

• Continue to support and distribute Message in a Bottle

• Provide continued support for The Den (formerly Men’s Sheds)

• Continue to support and contribute to the Whitchurch & Tongwynlais Festival, including organising the Duck Race, Auction and running a tombola stall at the Fete.

• Continue discussions with Llanishen RC on how best to support Dementia within the local Community

• Continue to produce and distribute the RCCB newsletter

• Support the District plastic recycling initiative

• Review requests for support from worthy local causes and individuals and make recommendations to Council accordingly
