The Stour Valley Educational Network (SVEN)'s key aims are to :

  • Bring together outdoor education delivery groups within the Dedham Vale & Stour Valley;
  • Undertake a consultation with local schools to establish their needs, aspirations, skills and awareness of education provisions available;
  • to produce a directory of providers for schools;
  • to run an Outdoor Learning Conference for primary teachers.
There are currently 27 organisations involved who offer outdoor learning opportunities in either landscape, heritage, culture, biodiversity or recreation.
