The Men's Shed concept originates from Australia and brings together older men in a space with which they are comfortable. They can socialise and carry out activities that bring benefit to the local community and charities.

Men in Sheds

Men in Sheds is a service run by some local Age UKs to support older men who want to get together, share and learn new skills - all in the welcoming space of a ‘Shed'. Watch the video below to see the incredible work they do.

Age UK no longer runs the Men in Sheds project at a national level, but a number of local Age UKs still run it at a local level. See below for details of your nearest Shed.
