Rotary club of Stirling meeting of 15th February 2019.
President Sandy Farquharson welcomed members to a fellowship meeting.
Last week's club outing to the V and A in Dundee was very successful helped by the splendid weather, and we hope to have another rail outing, possibly to Mallaig later in the year. Our recent donation to the William Simpson home has been used, as intended, to fund regular entertainment for the residents, seven so far with more to follow. The events have been well received. The fellowship meeting allowed discussion of the structure and future of the club committee structure as it was felt that with the passage of time the pattern of Rotary activities had changed. President Sandy Farquharson continues to explore the concept of a multi club project in Nepal. A larger project will attract larger matching grants potentially doubling the available funds, and allowing a much more ambitious intervention in health or education.
Next week's Speaker's Host Alan Prentice, Visitor's host Alan Bradshaw.
