Rotary Club Lunch Meeting

Thu, Sep 6th 2018 at 12:45 pm - 2:00 pm

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DAY. Due to another booking, the New Kent Hotel is unable to accommodate us on Friday this week. We were to have had DG Stewart Atkin this week but due to the change of day he is unable to come. He will now visit us on 2nd November.

It is possible that we will have a speaker on Thursday 6th. Len Burns is trying to arrange for Joseph George, a Rotarian from Sunderland who is familiar with the flood situation in Kerala, India to come along to the Club and appraise us of the current situation.   This will be confirmed or otherwise later in the week.

Those with contacts in the area have said that the floods are even worse than has been portrayed in the media.  RGBI has launched an appeal for thse affected by these floods. Details may be seen by selecting this link.

The issue will be discussed at our next Projects meeting.
