Lunch meeting at the Farmers Inn, Presteigne

Wed, Nov 21st 2018 at 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Today we heard from Heather Lewis of the Lullaby Trust at a new venue for us, the Farmers Inn in Presteigne LD8 2AW

President Ivan presents a cheque to Heather Lewis

We had a good turnout of members and our welcome speaker Heather Lewis. We were able to take over the lounge bar so had a private room. The food was very good ( steak and ale pie with lemon tart to follow ) and we were well looked after. This is a possible future occasional or regular venue to be decided by members. Anyway we enjoyed the food, the company and the speaker! Heather is a specialist nurse and talked about her role in looking after parents who are having a second child after losing the first one to cot death. The Lullaby Trust supports all parents who have lost a child in this way and Heather supports the trust through fundraising as well as in her working life. A moving talk and a charity we hope to support in the future. See more www.lullabytrust.org.uk/
