Rotary Club of Guernsey becomes the largest in the District (18 August 2018)

President Mike Le Conte writes that one of the key elements to Rotary is the fellowship amongst members and this is often measured on attendance and membership.

Rotary is based on service for charity work, peace initiatives and youth development and this is only possible by members supporting each other and making sure that we all enjoy the Rotary fellowship in the process.

The recognition of us becoming the largest, and we continue to grow with a further 2 new members since the figures were released, is a tribute to all of our members and especially the Past Presidents before me.

Rotary Wessex, District 1110, with a total of 76 Rotary Clubs, covers almost all of Hampshire, the eastern part of Dorset, the southern part of Wiltshire, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.  With over 2,200 members it is one of the largest Districts in Great Britain and Ireland.
