Presentation to People & Gardens

Ken Radford of People and Gardens at St Austell visited the club on 20th September and gave an update of his project.

Ken was a founder of People and Gardens in 1997, together with Lorraine Radford, intending to use gardening to assist people with learning disabilities and mental health issues to develop work and social skills and enable them to take control over their own lives.

They believe that gardening can help you achieve a sense of well-being, satisfaction and self-worth, and help you feel good about yourself.

President Mick Goward presented Ken with a cheque for £1,000, another donation from the funds raised by Wheels in July
