Joint Meeting with Solihull Soroptomists

Mon, Nov 19th 2018 at 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm

We will be presenting cheques to local charities as a result of monies raised at our Fun in the Park event in September

The evening of 19 Nov will be a joint event with the Soroptimists at which the Mayor will present cheques to the nominated charities of this years Fun In The Park event. For reference those charities benefiting are the Lily Mae Foundation, Solihull Mind and St Basil's Night Stop. In addition cheques will also be presented to Fast Aid and the local Scout group who all assisted on the day.

Those welcome to attend the event are our Members, Soroptimists, Mayor and Consort, the main sponsors, the charities and anyone who helped on the day.

The format of the evening will be as follows:

  1. Arrive between 7pm and 7.30pm and order a complimentary welcome drink from the bar.
  2. 7.30pm to 8.15pm presentation of cheques to the charities.
  3. 8.15pm buffet, the cost for this, including the welcome drink is £17.50. The buffet will consist of a choice of beef bourguignon, pan fried trout with a wild mushroom sauce or three cheese tortellini in a sundried tomato pesto cream sauce all with lyonnaise potatoes and seasonal vegetables; followed by a choice of fruit salad or New York style cheesecake. Please make cheques payable to the Club.

We would like to show our appreciation for your much valued support and for helping us to make the day such a success.  The weather this year presented us with challenges but despite this the day went ahead, gave pleasure to our community and still raised money for local charities.  It would give us great pleasure to thank you all personally.  We hope you will be able to join us.

With best wishes

Fun in the Park Organising Committee (Jo Ackrill, Derek Benton, Barbara Forster, Grace Hampson, Robert Johnson, Sue Knowles, Sue Miller, Angela Sadler, Sue Bassett, Margaret Lloyd and Haifa Ross)
