President Mike Jane welcomed thirteen other members, and began the meeting by calling on members to stand briefly in memory of past president and honorary member David Arthur MBE, who died peacefully at his home early on December 29 at the age of 88.
David, first headmaster of Lomond School, joined the club in 1982 and served as president in 1995-6. He was elected an honorary member in 2012.
Details were given of the Joint Burns Supper with the Helensburgh Garelochside club at the Rosslea Hall Hotel, Rhu, on Monday January 28, time to be confirmed. The talented young Burns scholars of Cardross Primary School will again take part. An attendance sheet was circulated, and will be again next Tuesday.
The monthly raffle, this time for a bottle of The Glenlivet 12 year-old malt whisky, was won by Donald Fullarton, and the weekly raffle for whisky miniature, currently Deanston, was won by Adam Muggoch.
