International visit

During a holiday to St Maarten in the Caribbean, IPP David and Dee visited two Rotary clubs.

The Rotary club of Sint Maarten Sunrise met in their base hotel  at 7a.m. The speaker was David Antrobus, from the RC Mid Isle, on Rotary Foundation - a very educational and worthwhile talk explaining the set up of the main Rotary Charity.

As David Antrobus invited D&D to the evening meeting of Mid Isle club and kindly offerred to provide transport.

The Rotary Club of Sint Maarten Mid Isle met at 7 p.m. in a restaurant in Simpson's Bay,  and David Antrobus again gave his talk on Foundation.

The fellowship in both clubs was most enjoyable. 

Rotarians all over the world are friends you have not yet met.

Both clubs are heavily involved in helping the island to recover from the Sept 2017 Hurricane Irma as there is still a tremendous amount of damage to property and communities.

Unfortunately IPP David did not have any banners to present to the clubs, but they have been sent by post. 

The moral is to always take some banners on holiday
