'Inspire' Concert 2019

Annual concert by invited local young musicians

COME AND BE INSPIRED BY THE BOROUGH’S YOUNG MUSICIANS

Established January 2016, the now annual ‘Inspire!’ concert takes the form of a solo recital evening featuring invited young musicians from across the Wigan borough. Most of the soloists are students who learn through Wigan Council’s award-winning Music Service and many of them are finalists and prize winners from the annual Wigan Young Musician of the Year concert held every July.

This year’s event is taking place at Trinity United Reformed Church, Milton Grove, Wigan WN1 2PG on Friday 25th January starting at 7.30p.m, and this concert will feature outstanding performances from percussionists, singers, wind player and string players; once again, a most varied and entertaining programme will be presented.

The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Wigan and local music advocates John and Barbara O’Neill.  Head of Music Service Dave Little said “Last year’s concert was a huge success, providing a wonderful platform for some of our finest young musicians to perform as soloists in front of a supportive audience. We are grateful to The Rotary Club of Wigan and John and Barbara O’Neill for helping us to make this opportunity possible. Proceeds of the concert will go to Wigan and Leigh Young Carers”.

Tickets are priced at £5.00 for adults and £4 for concessions and are available on the door.
