UPDATE: REPORT ON DISTRICT 2nd SEMI-FINAL
One of our Hope Academy students , Niamh O'Kelly ,was successful in the competition on 3 December.
11 local heat winners from Radcliffe, Ramsbottom, Cheadle and District and Newton-le-Willows cooked a two course healthy meal for two in 1.5 hours. Niamh's menu was Chicken, Bacon and Mushroom pie, mash potatoes and Broccol with a White Chocolate and Mint cream dessert. She came 4th in the competition and now goes forward to the District final on 28 Feb at Congleton High School. The top five from this semi-final will be joined by the top four from the first semi-final so in all there will be nine competitors in the District Final. Their challenge will be to prepare a three course meal for two in 2 hours.i
Niamh, along with all the competitors will attend a mentoring session organised by the Marriot Hotel Group chefs who will judge the next round
The club sends its best wishes and good luck to Niamh in the next round.
